Class of 2026
The Academy has completely changed who I am. It pushed me to grow as a basketball player, a leader, a student, and most importantly as a person. When I started in 7th grade I was just a kid from Waukegan who loved basketball more than anything but did not have big goals or see much for myself beyond the court. The Academy opened doors I did not know existed.
100% College Placement
Our first graduating class — 5 students — all five went to four-year universities;
3 with full-tuition scholarships.
Growth Story
Where we started
In fall 2020, we supported 6 students during COVID. The Academy grew from this and developed into a structured out-of-school program, combining academics, enrichment, and basketball. A model that worked from day one.
Where we Are
Today, The Academy works with about 120 students a year across middle school and high school. The peer mentoring pipeline is active — high schoolers returning to tutor the next generation.
Where we're Going
We're supporting our first graduates through college. The Academy Scholarship Fund, built through generous donations, helps them get there without significant financial burden — and every class behind them is on the same path.
